NerdioCon Nerd Icon Series: Tim Coach, Pia

NerdioCon 2024 is just around the corner! From February 12 – 16, 2024, we will be in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic for our third annual in-person, all-inclusive partner conference, and we couldn’t be more excited to bring industry leaders together to tackle the most important topics our teams are facing. We are once again looking forward to bringing attendees the best content, sponsors, and speakers from around the channel.

We’re excited to kick off this year’s Nerd Icon blog series to give you a sneak peek of some of the experts you can expect to hear from at NerdioCon 2024. This week’s featured speaker is Tim Coach, Global Channel Chief at Pia!

Tell us about Pia and your current role with them

Pia supercharges your IT service desk with Pia aiDesk, a powerful automation platform that seamlessly integrates with your existing PSA for improved efficiency, faster ticket management, and elevated customer service.

I am the Global Channel Chief, and I work closely with all MSPs and ITSPs to ensure they have access to the AI software that is revolutionizing our space.

Why do you enjoy working in IT? What makes it unique?

I enjoy working in IT because of the people of the channel. I love being able to share the knowledge that I have acquired over the years. This is also one of the few industries I have worked in where every single person is willing to help one another. Whether that be professional or personal, our community is one of giving.

What will you be presenting about at NerdioCon 2024?

My session will be about AI v RPA. Over the last year, AI has become the hottest topic in our industry; however, the definition of AI is somewhat unclear. The technology that creates AI needs to be explained and better defined so that our partners can understand what they need, what they should buy, and how it will provide them with results.

Join us for an educational and in-depth discussion on the differences between these technologies and how to determine which will help you create an immediate and meaningful impact for the future of your MSP.

What are you looking forward to most about the event?

I am really looking forward to our continued partnership with Nerdio, which we value greatly. The partners that come to NerdioCon have a laser focus, and they want to know what the future of technology is going to be. We are also looking forward to getting information from presentations and vendors outside of our own team.

The attentiveness and participation of the people at NerdioCon are always fantastic. It is a quality show with great content, and people there are far more engaged than others I’ve attended.

What are some topics or pain points that your company can help channel partners with that you’ll be discussing at NerdioCon?

For NerdioCon 2024, our discussions will be centered around a deeper understanding of the differences in AI and RPA. We will also be covering all things MSP, including leadership, hiring, training, processes, tools, and documentation. Our booth staff has worked in all aspects of the MSP environment, and they have a wealth of knowledge and are always willing to help and educate.
