Optimize AVD at scale

The headline capability in 8.1 is Global Pools for AVD, available in Preview for Nerdio Manager Premium customers.

Global Pools introduces a new way to coordinate large-scale AVD environments. Admins can organize host pools into Pool Groups and create Assignment Policies that automatically assign or reassign users based on Microsoft Entra group membership.

For organizations managing a growing number of host pools, these capabilities provide more structure and flexibility around user distribution and day-to-day AVD operations.

Automate with greater control

As environments grow, IT teams are automating more of the day-to-day work required to keep them running. Nerdio Manager 8.1 introduces new capabilities to help teams maintain control as that automation scales.

The new Scripted Sequences Concurrency Balancer, available in Preview, allows admins to limit concurrent executions globally or by host pool. This gives teams more control over execution load when running automation across large AVD environments.

Real-Time Insights now includes a new AVD Host Overview with host-level insight into CPU, memory, session state, session load, and session input delay.

New date and time range controls make it easier to investigate a precise period of activity, while alert drill-down takes admins directly to the relevant graph and timeframe.

Together, these enhancements help IT teams automate with confidence and troubleshoot performance issues faster.

Expand Windows 365 administration

Nerdio Manager for Enterprise 8.1 continues to expand Windows 365 administration, bringing more day-to-day management tasks into the same platform IT teams already use to manage their broader Windows Cloud environments.

Admins can now configure Windows 365 User Experience Sync directly within Nerdio Manager. They can turn synchronization on or off, select storage size, review the users and devices included in a provisioning policy, and remove profiles without switching between management tools.

The release also introduces new controls and status reporting for AI-ready Cloud PCs. Admins can activate AI features for targeted user groups, review Microsoft's eligibility requirements, and validate Frontier enrollment directly from Nerdio Manager.

A new AI Status column provides an at-a-glance view of device readiness across the environment, helping teams quickly identify which Cloud PCs are ready to use, AI-capable, eligible for an upgrade, or require additional configuration.

Nerdio Manager 8.1 will also add support for migrating users from Azure Virtual Desktop Personal to Windows 365 Flex Dedicated. This gives organizations a simpler path to adopt Windows 365 while preserving a familiar management experience.

Together, these updates simplify Windows 365 administration today, make it easier to transition to new deployment models, and help organizations prepare for the next generation of AI-powered Cloud PC experiences.
