Nerdio has partnered with Teradici to enable PCoIP® in Azure deployments, extending Microsoft’s flexible Azure platform with the performance and security of Teradici PCoIP® display protocol.
About Teradici
Teradici is the creator of the PCoIP® remoting protocol technology and Cloud Access Software. The company’s core mission is seamless and secure delivery of workstations and applications for end-users. Teradici PCoIP® technology and Cloud Access Software offer the most secure remoting solutions for public, private, and multi-cloud environments, enabling visualization of even the most graphics-intensive applications.
Why PCoIP®?
PC-over-IP (PCoIP®) technology delivers a secure, high-definition and highly responsive computing experience. It uses advanced display compression to provide end users with on-premises or cloud-based virtual machines as a convenient alternative to local computers. This virtual workspace architecture compresses, encrypts, and transmits only pixels to a broad range of software clients, mobile clients, thin clients and stateless PCoIP® Zero Clients, providing a highly secure enterprise environment.
From a user’s perspective, there is no difference between working with a local computer loaded with software and an endpoint receiving a streamed pixel representation from a centralized virtual computer.
Security
Because the PCoIP® protocol transfers only display information in the form of pixels, no business information ever leaves your cloud or data center.
HOW IT WORKS
Nerdio Manager Extends Microsoft’s Flexible
Azure Platform with PCoIp® Display Protocol
Deploys and configures CAS Connector VM
Creates workstation pools (persistent or floating*) that correspond to AVD host pools where PCoIP® is enabled
Installs PCoIP® agent during AVD session host creation and registers remote workstation
Deletes remote workstation when AVD session host is removed
Synchronizes user-to-workstation assignments between Teradici and AVD
