Straight from NerdioCon: 5 updates in Nerdio Manager for MSP 7.0 that are changing the MSP playbook

Ashley Battle | May 4, 2026 | 5 min read

If you were at NerdioCon this year, you probably noticed a shift in the conversations happening across sessions, demos, and hallway chats.

MSPs aren’t just focused on managing environments anymore. They’re focused on running more efficient, more scalable cloud practices without adding overhead.

That’s exactly where Nerdio Manager for MSP 7.0 comes in.

Some of these updates build on what we shared last year and have since delivered. Others reflect where MSPs are headed next.

Here are five new key features and updates that stood out:

1. Win more deals with the Prospect Tenant Assessment Wizard

Growth starts before onboarding.

With the Prospect Tenant Assessment Wizard, MSPs can assess potential customer environments and quickly identify gaps, risks, and opportunities before a deal is even closed.

Instead of going into conversations with assumptions, you can lead with real data.

This makes it easier to understand a prospect’s environment, highlight areas for improvement, and position your services with confidence.

It’s a more structured, more repeatable way to drive new business.

2. Delivering on PSA integration

If you were at NerdioCon last year, this one might sound familiar.

We talked about bringing PSA integration into Nerdio Manager, and in 7.0, it’s here.

With PSA integration, Nerdio Manager now connects directly with leading MSP platforms, including Datto Autotask PSA, ConnectWise PSA, and Halo PSA.

This helps bridge the gap between technical operations and the business side of your practice by creating a more connected workflow across your stack.

The result is better alignment across teams, improved visibility into work being done, and a smoother operational experience overall without having to jump between disconnected systems.

3. Standardize and secure with Purview solution baselines and policy management

As MSPs scale, maintaining consistency across environments becomes increasingly difficult... and increasingly important.

With Purview Solution Baselines and Policy Management, Nerdio Manager makes it easier to apply structured baselines across customers, improving both security and compliance. Instead of building policies from scratch every time, you can standardize configurations across tenants and reduce the risk of gaps or inconsistencies.

This means faster deployment, stronger alignment to best practices, and less manual effort across environments. In addition, a well-governed environment is a prerequisite for Microsoft Copilot adoption, as data hygiene and policy consistency must be in place before organizations can deploy Copilot safely and successfully.

4. Turn visibility into action with insights and reporting

Over the past few releases, we’ve continued to expand how MSPs gain visibility into their environments.

With 7.0, that visibility becomes more actionable.

Enhancements to the Reporting Engine, along with the introduction of the Insights Dashboard, make it easier to understand what’s happening across customers (and actually do something about it).

This gives you a clearer view into performance, usage, and opportunities while also helping you communicate value back to customers in a more meaningful way.

Whether it’s identifying issues faster or uncovering new opportunities, this is where data starts to drive real outcomes.

5. Automate the lifecycle with user offboarding flows

As MSPs scale, lifecycle management becomes harder to maintain consistently.

User offboarding is a perfect example—routine, but critical.

With User Offboarding Flows, Nerdio Manager helps standardize and automate this process, building on the broader push toward more consistent, repeatable operations.

Instead of relying on manual steps or checklists, MSPs can create structured workflows that ensure nothing gets missed.

It’s a simple improvement that reduces risk while freeing up time for higher-value work.

Continuing to evolve how MSPs operate

Together, these updates reflect a broader shift in how MSPs manage and grow their businesses. Nerdio Manager for MSP 7.0 is all about helping MSPs operate more effectively across the full customer lifecycle.

From initial assessment to ongoing operations and long-term value, the goal remains the same: Help MSPs work smarter, scale faster, and deliver better outcomes for their customers.
