This season, that feedback added up to our strongest showing yet.
The headline stat
Nerdio earned 71 badges across 118 G2 reports this quarter, with #1 rankings in 27 of them.
Badge count measures market presence: how many categories a product qualifies for at all. #1 rankings measure something harder: being the top-scored option once you’re there. A vendor can rack up badges by playing in a lot of categories without leading any of them. Nerdio’s ratio here, #1 in nearly a quarter of every report it appears in, is what validates category-wide leadership across the markets that matter most to us.

Across the Desktop as a Service category, Nerdio ranked #1 in every single DaaS report it appears in.
The more useful detail is where the gaps are widest: ease of setup, ease of administration, and quality of support. Those three are exactly what tends to go wrong with legacy VDI deployments: getting it running, keeping it running, and getting help when something breaks. If you’re shortlisting platforms, those are the three questions worth asking any vendor’s reference customers directly, not just taking a badge count at face value.
Why this matters if you’re weighing Nerdio against Citrix
A lot of the organizations reading G2’s DaaS report are doing so because they’re actively reevaluating a legacy Citrix deployment.
Citrix has strengths reviewers consistently call out: broad flexibility across on-prem, hybrid, and multi-cloud environments, and infrastructure options that go beyond any single hyperscaler. If your environment spans multiple clouds and data centers, that flexibility has value.
That flexibility comes with a cost, though, and it shows in how reviewers score day-to-day experience. G2’s rankings are built entirely from verified reviews left by people who use Nerdio Manager every day: enterprise IT teams managing AVD and Intune at scale, and MSPs running Windows Cloud environments for dozens or hundreds of clients. When that many reviewers land on the same conclusion across this many categories, it tells us the deep Microsoft-native integration, automation that removes manual toil, and support that customers actually want to talk about, are working.
