Navigating the VDI market with Nerdio
The traditional solutions inside the VDI market are doubling down on higher costs, longer license terms, and trying to lock in their existing customer base in a way that the market is not gravitating towards. And where that positions Microsoft and AVD and Windows 365 along with Nerdio is to take advantage of that by saying we have a more appealing model. My name is Dave Anderson, and I am one of the Nerdio Valued Professionals or NVPs. Customers might find Windows 365 appealing if they wanna get off the ground quickly with a deployment for an environment that has some security faults configured, but doesn't have too much in the way of other infrastructure that needs be established like a traditional AVD environment would need to be. It can be challenging to know where to look to find out all the information about your environment, the health of the environment, are my devices compliant, and everything else that goes along with that. Are my devices updated?
Are they in a good state? Are they green on the dashboard? And you can find that inside of the default Intune management interface. But what Nerdio does is make it a lot easier to see all of the important information in a single pane of glass dashboard that doesn't require people to go to a lot of different blades within the environment and have sort of death by a thousand cuts if you're thinking about clicking all over the place.
So much in the same way that Nerdio positioned itself as a market leader for Azure Virtual Desktop when they first came out with that, and provided a simpler way to know the health of the environment and have the important information surface to it just right off the bat. I think that with Windows 365, Nerdio is looking to do that same, provide that same value in the space and make sure that everybody, partners and customers alike, have exactly what they need when they go to fire up Windows 365, or AVD Desktop. Having that aggregated in a single place inside the Nerdio management plane is so valuable for a business, especially as everybody looks to maximize their dollar and their spend inside of the cloud. Nerdio helps make that a possibility much, much easier.
