The shift to secure, compliant cloud infrastructure continues to accelerate across the public sector. MSPs supporting these environments, especially those serving the Defense Industrial Base (DIB), need tools designed with enclave-specific requirements in mind. Until now, managing Microsoft 365 GCC High and Azure Government workloads at scale has been a manual, fragmented process for most service providers.
Today, we’re announcing general availability of Nerdio Manager for MSP: Gov Edition, a new product built specifically for MSPs managing secure Microsoft Cloud environments. It brings the automation, standardization, and multi-tenant visibility Nerdio is known for, but now extended into Azure Gov and Microsoft 365 GCC High.
This is not a repackaged commercial product. Gov Edition was purpose-built to meet the compliance, sovereignty, and operational demands of enclave workloads.
Why we built Gov Edition
Over the past few years, more of our MSP partners have begun supporting customers in regulated industries—especially those that require CMMC alignment, operate in ITAR-restricted environments, or work with federal, state, and local governments. They’ve consistently asked us for a way to extend Nerdio’s management capabilities into Microsoft’s government clouds.
The challenge? These environments are fundamentally different. They require enclave-aware deployment models, strict data sovereignty, and compliance automation. Most commercial IT tools either don’t support these scenarios or require third-party data flows and agents that create audit risk.
We built Gov Edition to close that gap without asking MSPs to retrain teams, retool operations, or compromise on compliance.
What’s different about Gov Edition
Nerdio Manager for MSP: Gov Edition is deployed entirely within your Azure Government tenant. There’s no third-party data exfiltration and no external control plane. All workloads, management operations, and automation stay within your secure enclave (or your customer’s).
And while it shares the same interface and core capabilities as our commercial platform, Gov Edition includes features specifically designed for public sector MSPs, including:
- Multi-tenant visibility across enclaves: Manage Microsoft 365 GCC High and Azure Gov tenants from a single interface without switching tools or re-authenticating.
- Enclave-native deployment: All configurations, scripts, and policies run inside your Azure Gov instance. Console Connect and other outbound components have been excluded to maintain strict boundary compliance.
- CMMC and CIS-aligned automation: Use pre-configured Intune baselines aligned to CIS Level 1, deploy hardened Windows 10/11/Server images, and automate policy compliance across tenants.
- Same Nerdio workflows, gov-ready: If you already use Nerdio Manager for MSP in commercial environments, Gov Edition will immediately feel familiar. You can offer the same services, but now in secure, compliant government clouds.

Deployment and pricing
To maintain compliance with Azure Marketplace billing rules, Gov Edition requires two installations:
- A commercial Nerdio Manager for MSP instance for license billing.
- A separate Gov Edition deployment inside your Azure Gov tenant for management.
Early adopter pricing is now available at $12/user/month through December 31, 2025. This launch-phase offer is intended to help MSPs accelerate their move to secure enclave management and begin building compliant service offerings without upfront friction.
