Every designated user will be given a super-fast dedicated virtual desktop while freeing customers from all that unnecessarily expensive physical hardware they’re likely burdened with now.
These virtual desktops include:
- Dedicated desktop per user with up to 4CPUs/8GB RAM, 200GB SSD, 1000mbps NIC, and quad-monitor support
- In three available Windows desktop flavors – 7, 8.1, or 10 – running on top of rock-solid Windows Server 2016, 2012 R2 or 2008 R2 operating system
- Accessibility through an installed client application, HTML5-based browser, or mobile app
- Natively-encrypted PCoIP protocol
- Golden Image template, configured for your unique network environment – which makes deploying new desktops super easy for you
- Rendering ready-to-click in milliseconds (go ahead – speed check us!) with up to 1000mbps internet connection
Choose the endpoint device (smart monitor, zero client box, laptop, tablet, smartphone — whichever you prefer), get connected online, then users can simply click on the VMware Horizon client, and voila – Nerdio is live. The desktop that users are comfortable with is there for them, right where they left it. That’s because Nerdio allows users to maintain the familiar Windows desktop experience they know and love, and keeps their files safe and sound.
Centralization & Customization
One of the many awesome features that sets Nerdio’s hosted VDI apart from traditional desktop environments is centralization. With VDI, there’s one “golden image” from which additional virtual desktops are cloned. Naturally, this makes provisioning new desktops significantly faster (like under-fifteen-minutes-fast) than traditional desktop environments – and makes it less concerning if a physical desktop or laptop suddenly meets their demise. Yikes.
Of course each desktop can be personalized with different applications, but the central golden image stays the same. So, when software updates are needed, for example, the one golden image can just be changed instead of having to change every machine individually. It’s that simple.
Naturally, with virtual desktops, users can access their normal in-office desktop environment at all hours, from any connected device, from any location. And with such good performance that they won’t be able to tell that they’re remote. Nice.
