Nerdio’s new offerings expand entry points into Azure for managed service providers by allowing them to meet specific customer use cases, from DaaS to RDS to servers to ITaaS

Nerdio (www.getnerdio.com), a pioneer in cloud IT automation, is the creator of Nerdio for Azure, the first centralized and intuitive console for MSPs to price, provision, manage, and optimize customer IT environments in the Microsoft Cloud. Today, Nerdio is introducing a new modular way for MSPs to build and grow their IT practice in Azure by addressing specific customer needs in 4 distinct use cases: Desktop-as-a-Service (DaaS), server management, Hosted RDS, and full IT stack (ITaaS).

“In our conversations with the channel community, we’ve observed widespread demand for more flexible points of entry into delivering Azure. Depending on their level of comfort as well as their customers’ requirements, MSPs are at varying stages of their IT practice in Azure. They are anywhere from the earlier phases of exploration, to ready to jump in with both feet, to already providing Azure-related services but wanting to scale and grow much more rapidly,” said Vadim Vladimirskiy, CEO of Nerdio.

“Because not all organizations are necessarily ready to go full IT stack in Azure, we wanted to make it as easy as possible for more MSPs to address a wider range of customer use cases, and therefore capture more business through Azure.”

Nerdio has created high-level guides for MSPs outlining each use case with a sample deployment, simple implementation steps, and customer pricing recommendations — with margins ranging from 40 to 57%. MSPs can then offer any of these packages to customers, and use Nerdio for Azure to easily provision, manage, and optimize these environments.

“Nerdio’s offering allows us to provide a turnkey solution to our customers without having to invest in infrastructure and high-end engineering time,” commented Sebastian Igreti, CEO and Co-Founder of TechMD, a Nerdio partner. “We firmly believe in unleashing the awesome potential in others, and that’s why Nerdio made so much sense for us.”

The use cases are as follows:

DaaS: Eliminate management of local end-user devices by migrating desktops and integrating them with Office 365,SaaS and client/server applications, and provide users with always-on Windows desktop access from any internet connected device.

  • Azure Hosted RDS: Migrate an existing Remote Desktop Services deployment to Azure or stand up a new one. Leverage Azure’s expanded geographical infrastructure and dynamically resize compute resources as necessary.
  • Servers: Extend existing network and Active Directory, migrate line of business applications and database servers, and manage server infrastructure and backups in Azure.
  • ITaaS: Migrate the full IT stack to Azure, including servers, desktops, backup and security, email, collaboration, and file storage in Office 365, eliminating the need for any on-premise infrastructure.

“While many customers are intrigued by the power and reach of the Microsoft Cloud and are curious about harnessing hybrid deployments, most are reticent to jump into Azure right off the bat — especially for their entire IT infrastructure,” said Amol Dalvi, VP of Product at Nerdio. “With Nerdio for Azure, MSPs are able to convert more organizations into Azure customers by addressing their preferred public cloud adoption modes.”

Nerdio for Azure is the first-ever definitive path to Azure for MSPs and their customers. It allows MSPs to manage everything from pricing to provisioning to management to cost optimization of IT environments. Its centralized management portal allows even non-engineers to handle most tasks in just three clicks or less.

By significantly reducing the cost, complexity, and risk associated with moving customers to the Microsoft Cloud, Nerdio achieves two major breakthroughs: 1. Equipping MSPs with the tools and resources they need to make a sizeable profit selling a comprehensive suite of IT offerings on Azure; 2. Democratizing access to Azure for organizations that would previously not be able to make the move.
