Hybrid AD feature allows IT administrators to leverage IT-in-the-Cloud capabilities for existing ADs by extending them into the Nerdio deployment
Nerdio is the creator of Nerdio for Azure, ITaaS automation that enables automated provisioning, management, and optimization of complete IT environments in the Microsoft Cloud. Today, the company announced a new feature that simplifies the process of extending an organization’s existing on-premise AD into Nerdio’s IT-in-the-cloud solution.
Nerdio for Azure is ridiculously simple provisioning, management, and optimization of complete IT environments in the Microsoft Cloud. It facilitates migration to Azure in a couple of hours with just a few clicks, and streamlines the management of these environments on an ongoing basis. This is the first and only definitive path for small- and medium-sized organizations to overcome the critical cost and complexity barriers to harnessing the full benefits of Azure.
The new Hybrid AD functionality allows Nerdio capabilities to be applied to existing AD objects without the need to migrate the entire IT environment to Azure. System administrators can now benefit from a simpler, standardized process for creating a Hybrid AD, which includes logging for reviews and audits. This is otherwise a tedious process that requires a system administrator to manually remote into the server and perform a series of complex tasks, such as setting up a domain trust, validation, installing a domain controller, creating a conditional forwarder zone, and designating new Organization Units (OUs), among other things. Nerdio has streamlined this entire process to just a few easy clicks.
“A number of our partners had been requesting this feature, as their customers would prefer to retain some of their on-premise applications while leveraging the Microsoft Cloud. Hybrid AD makes it simple and easy to seamlessly manage their on-premise AD and Nerdio AD,” said Amol Dalvi, Senior Director of Product at Nerdio. “The biggest benefits of this feature are that we’ve completely standardized the process, and have also added a logging capability, which otherwise does not exist.”
