In this session, we will continue the discussion on Azure storage by diving deeper into Azure files. We'll talk about encryption, Bitlocker, Azure Key Vault and Azure File Sync. We're going to use the white board a bunch in this discussion, so get ready for what will be an exciting talk about another of the many core topics needed to build a successful cloud practice in Microsoft Azure. Enjoy the session.
In this session, you will learn more about one of the most fundamental concepts in Azure, Azure Storage. We'll dive deeper into topics like Azure Disks, Managed Disks, and Disk Performance. We'll go through an overview of storage pricing, including pricing Managed Disks, and we'll discuss the practical differences between Standard and Premium Storage. Understanding Azure Storage is a fundamental building block needed to start building a successful cloud practice in Microsoft Azure. Enjoy the session.
In this session you will learn more about networking in Azure, how Azure uniquely handles networking including VNet, subnet, VNix, VPN, and something called ExpressRoute which is a great way to ensure the privacy and isolation of your data and possibly lower variance on things like latency and packet loss. As an MSP is it important to really get your arms around how networking works in Azure as you continue to build up your cloud practice.
In this session, you will learn more about Azure pricing. As an MSP, it is important to really get your arms around the various pricing options for Microsoft Azure, including two of the more important ways to increase your margins, Azure Hybrid Usage and Reserved Instances. Demystifying the topic of pricing is critical to help you build a profitable cloud practice in Microsoft Azure.
In this session, you will learn more about the concept of regions and where Microsoft hosts Azure. You will also learn about virtual machines, and in Microsoft Azure, there are all kinds of virtual machines, different series, like A, B, D, N, and others. What are they each used for, and why would I, as an MSP, choose to use one versus the other? We'll also dive deeper into the concept of B-series virtual machines, otherwise known as burstable virtual machines. Understanding compute and virtual machines are two more core elements needed to build a strong cloud practice in Microsoft Azure. We'll take you through examples of each, using the Microsoft Azure portal and Nerdio for Azure, and by the end of this session, you will feel even more prepared to begin spinning up your first customer in Microsoft Azure.
In this session, you will learn more about the basic building blocks of Microsoft Azure. Tenants, Subscriptions, and Resource Groups. Think of these as the core elements needed to build a strong foundation in Azure. It is the first step in understanding how to build your cloud practice. We’ll take you through examples of each using the Microsoft Azure Portal and Nerdio for Azure and by the end of this session you will feel prepared to take the first step towards spinning up your first customer in Microsoft Azure.
