Nerdio’s “Azure A La Carte” Empowers the Microsoft Channel to Capture More Customers

Nerdio’s new offerings expand entry points into Azure for managed service providers by allowing them to meet specific customer use cases, from DaaS to RDS to servers to ITaaS.

Nerdio (getnerdio.com), a pioneer in cloud IT automation, is the creator of Nerdio for Azure, the first centralized and intuitive console for MSPs to price, provision, manage, and optimize customer IT environments in the Microsoft Cloud. Today, Nerdio is introducing a new modular way for MSPs to build and grow their IT practice in Azure by addressing specific customer needs in 4 distinct use cases: Desktop-as-a-Service (DaaS), server management, Hosted RDS, and full IT stack (ITaaS).

“In our conversations with the channel community, we’ve observed widespread demand for more flexible points of entry into delivering Azure. Depending on their level of comfort as well as their customers’ requirements, MSPs are at varying stages of their IT practice in Azure. Nerdio has created high-level guides for MSPs outlining each use case with a sample deployment, simple implementation steps, and customer pricing recommendations — with margins ranging from 40 to 57%. MSPs can then offer any of these packages to customers, and use Nerdio for Azure to easily provision, manage, and optimize these environments.

The use cases are as follows:

  • DaaS: Eliminate management of local end-user devices by migrating desktops and integrating them with Office 365, SaaS and client/server applications, and provide users with always-on Windows desktop access from any internet connected device.
  • Azure Hosted RDS: Migrate an existing Remote Desktop Services deployment to Azure or stand up a new one. Leverage Azure’s expanded geographical infrastructure and dynamically resize compute resources as necessary.
  • Servers: Extend existing network and Active Directory, migrate line of business applications and database servers, and manage server infrastructure and backups in Azure.
  • ITaaS: Migrate the full IT stack to Azure, including servers, desktops, backup and security, email, collaboration, and file storage in Office 365, eliminating the need for any on-premise infrastructure.
